Bahraini-German business ties discussed

Manama, Mar12(BNA)Trade exchanges between Bahrain and Germany have exceeded $583 million, according to updated figures released by the Central Informatics Organisation (CIO). Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Second Deputy Chairman Jawad Yusif Al-Hawaj cited the statistics as he attended a key meeting at Beit Al-Tejjar with a high-level German business delegation led by Federal Minister of Transport, Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa)President Dr. Peter Ramsauer . The meeting was attended by German Ambassador Sabine Taufmann, BCCI board member Ahlam Janahi and BCCI Chief Executive Officer Nabeel Abdulrahman Al-Mahmoud. Al-Hawaj stressed the keenness of the private sector in Bahrain on bolstering joint economic cooperation and enhancing trade exchanges, stressing the importance of seizing investment opportunities in the two countries. Dr. Ramsauer hailed outstanding political and political relations, stressing his country's keenness on bolstering economic cooperation and promoting joint investment ventures. He invited private sector representatives in Bahrain to take part in key economic functions being held in Berlin, citing particularly the 6th Arab-German Forum for Education and Training (April14-15), and the 18th Arab German Business Symposium (June 8-10).
