Bahrain to take part in UNCCPCJ

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): Minister of the Shura and Representatives Councils Affairs Ghanim bin Fadhel Al-Buainin has stressed that Bahrain’s participation in the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (UNCCPCJ), which will be held in Doha, Qatar, from April 12 to 19, reflects the government’s keenness to attend such events which are of paramount importance in achieving social and economic development. The minister is heading Bahrain’s delegation of representatives from the Interior Ministry and Public Prosecution to the event. He emphasised, in a statement, the kingdom’s efforts to prevent crimes and boost justice through the UN agreements and resolutions. Bahrain’s delegation will leave tomorrow for Doha to take part in the conference which will spotlight key issues pertaining to crime prevention and criminal justice, international cooperation to fight cross-border organised crimes and bolstering sustainable development.
