Bahrain condemns flagrant Iranian interference

Manama, Nov25(BNA)Bahrain's Foreign Ministry has today strongly condemned repeated blatant Iranian interference in its internal affairs. It slammed the latest statement made by the spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry after competent authorities affiliated with the Interior Ministry searched the house of a citizen, after securing the permission of its dwellers, as they were tracking down a suspect in connection with a terrorist case. In a statement today, the ministry denied the Iranian claims, affirming Bahrain's drive to treat all its citizens on the same foot of equality, in compliance with the rule of the law and the enforcement of the law on all people, without any discrimination. The Foreign Ministry reiterated its call urging Iran to commit to the principles of good neighbourliness, mutual respect of national sovereignty. In the statement, the ministry called on the Iranian authorities to stop interfering in Bahrain's internal affairs and levelling baseless accusations which are issued by an official and responsible authority of the caliber of the foreign ministry.
