Al Attiyah Honors Volunteers in UN Climate Change COP 18

Doha, December 11 (QNA) - HE the Chairman of Qatar's Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, president of the UN Climate Change COP 18, Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah honored on Tuesday the volunteers who participated in organizing the event. He praised the role of the 1200 volunteers in contributing to the success of the conference which was attended by some 18,000 participants. He said that the volunteers represented 53 countries and helped guide participants to meetings, facilitate their transport throughout the three-week conference, one of the largest in the world and provide all facilities for their comfort. Al Attiyah noted that Qatar which enjoys stability and security , has proved itself over the past years as a successful venue for international gatherings. (QNA)
