Abadi Receives A Delegation Of Members Of Congress and US Senate, Confirms That Terrorism Needs Air support

BAGHDAD / NINA / Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi said the terror gangs of Daash are global threat needs to more effort and air support. A statement by the office of the Prime Minister said al-Abadi met, in his office on Sunday, a delegation of members of Congress and the US Senate, headed by Rob Whitman, a member of Congress from the Republican Party and Senator Tim Maine a senator for the Democratic Party. The statement added that "during the meeting, they discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and the region as well as the field developments of the war against terror (Daash) to liberate the rest of the areas and the international community's support for Iraq and the increasing armament in addition to strengthening bilateral relations and strategic partnership." Abadi stressed that "the terrorist gangs of ISIS (Daash) are a global threat, which needs more effort and air support, stressing the need for serious action to stop the recruitment of terrorists and their funding." He explained: "beside our war on terrorism, we are fighting financial and administrative corruption and we started steps including simplify procedures in government departments."
