23rd Doha International Book Fair Concludes

Doha , December 22 (QNA) - The 23rd Doha International Book Fare concluded Saturday. The book fair began in December 12 with 26 countries and 425 publishing houses participating. The exhibition attracted the biggest publishing houses in the world. The exhibition itself saw a wide range of events and hosted a number of writers and intellectuals from across the Arab world. Japan is the "chief guest" of the exhibition this year, in celebration of 40 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and the State of Qatar. The exhibition had six main lectures including "The Future of Arab Culture" by Egyptian writer Dr. Youssef Zidane and "Political Parties and the Constitution in the Quran and Suna," by Hossam Al Gheriani, who is the Head of the Egyptian Constituent Assembly.
