Third Qatar Motor Show to 'Cause a Stir With Arab Label'
Doha, December 27 (QNA) - The third edition of Qatar Motor Show, opening here at the Doha Exhibition Center (DEC) on January 29 next year, 'will cause a stir with an Arab label', organisers said.
Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), Q.media Events and GL Events are jointly organising the five-day expo concluding February 2 will showcase marquee brands from global automotive industry.
Commenting on the show, QTA Chairman Issa bin Mohamed Al Mohannadi said, "Each edition of the Qatar Motor Show has put the country on the global automotive industry map. Last year's event proved to be even more popular than the first show.
"I am optimistic that the 2013 event will break all our previous records. We have an exciting line-up this year of international car brands and events taking place concurrently with the motor show. I am confident visitors will be fully entertained and intrigued by what we are offering this time."
The 2013 Qatar Motor Show will showcase global brands ranging from family sedans, to SUVs, luxury vehicles and to sports cars.
Like the previous editions, the show will be held indoors and outside the DEC area. Visitors will be entertained by drifting shows, a car obstacle course, gymnastic performances, sporting relays and a classic car show, the QTA Chairman added.
Speaking about the third show's offering, Q.Media Chief Executive Officer Yousif Al Khater said, "We have a line-up that will definitely cause a stir, including the unveiling of never-seen before models from renowned car brands, visits and talks from high-caliber celebrities, an area dedicated to one specialized and innovative car brand, and one of the most exciting hyper cars to come to life - with an Arab label."
As we get closer to the opening of the show on January 29th, automobile fans will get to know details. "We promise that 2013 will yet another unforgettable Qatar Motor Show," he added.
The second edition of Qatar Motor Show in 2012 registered around 120,000 visitors, an increase by 25% over 2011 figure.
