Meeting of Regional Commonwealth Field of Communications opens in Ashgabat

Hasanov / The 46th meeting of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) has opened in Ashgabat and last two days, an official Turkmen source said on Tuesday. RCC was established on Dec.17, 1991 in Moscow by the heads of Communication Administrations (CA) of independent states. On that day they signed the agreement on the establishment of the RCC - an organisation directed to carry out cooperation between newly independent states in the field of telecommunication and postal communication based on their free will, principles of mutual respect and sovereignty. The agenda of the current meeting includes issues of the implementation of the RCC measures, contributing to the development of further cooperation of the CIS member states in the sphere of communication and information. Also covered will be the preparation of the RCC communications administrations to international and regional forums in the field of radio communication and postal services, cooperation in the field of telecommunications and including entry of new participants into the Telecommunication Operators Board. It is planned to discuss and take appropriate decisions on the internal activity of the RCC, including amendments and additions to the RCC regulations. Do you have any feedback?
