GPIC President congratulates Training Officer

Manama, May 12 (BNA): Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC)'s President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery has congratulated Company Training Officer Lulua Almuaili for her elevation as Board Member of the Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD). Speaking while receiving Almuaili, Dr. Jawahery said GPIC was extremely proud of her achievement and stressed that her elevation was a comment on the Company's success in the development and rehabilitation of its employees, in particular that of women. He said GPIC was committed to help develop the functions and responsibilities of organisations that serve the Bahraini community. Dr. Jawahery praised GPIC’s role in the development of the BSTD and said the organisation had made a key contribution in developing human resources at several companies, in the process revitalising the process of Bahrainisation. Wishing Almuaili all success, Dr. Jawahery said GPIC would continue to play a major role in its efforts to support all employees, in particular women, and help them continue with their contributions for the improvement of the local community at all levels. Ms. Almuaili thanked Dr. Jawahery and members of the Executive Management for their efforts to boost the morale of Company employees and encourage them to achieve greater heights. She said GPIC is keen to offer the best and the latest training programmes and expressed the hope that the Company would continue its approach in providing assistance and support to the BSTD to help it perform its tasks. The BSTD is a non-profit organisation founded in 1979 and a professional association for people interested in the management and development of human resources. The Society has evolved since its inception and has expanded its activities and programmes. It has also succeeded in building bridges of effective communication with many international and professional human resources bodies, in addition to playing an important role in promoting human resources development in the country. The BSTD has more than 1,200 members from the private and public sectors, most of whom are experts in the field of human resources. It is today an active forum for experts in human resources and administration and is working to develop capacity and to promote excellence in people management.
