Doha Insurance Reports QR 21.2 Million in Net Profit

Doha, April 17 (QNA) - Doha Insurance Company has disclosed the interim financial statement for the three month period ended March 31, 2012. The financial statements revealed a net profit of QR 21.2 Million in comparison to QR 19.2 Million for the corresponding period in 2011, the company said in a statement published on (Qatar Exchange) website. The Earnings per Share (EPS) amounted to QR 0.91 as of March 31, 2012 versus QR 1.07 of the same period in 2011. Doha Insurance Company is a Qatari shareholding company formed in 2000. During 2006, the Company established an Islamic Takaful branch under the brand name Doha Takaful to carry out insurance and reinsurance activities in accordance with Islamic Sharia principles on a non-usury basis in all areas of insurance.
