Doha Bank Signs Agreement with Bank of the Philippine Islands for Remittances to the Philippines
Doha, December 23 (QNA) - Doha Bank announced an agreement with Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), the third largest private sector bank in The Philippines, for remittance of funds to The Philippines.
The agreement was signed by Dr. R. Seetharaman, Group Chief Executive Officer of Doha Bank and Mr. Raul D. Dimayuga, Senior Vice President of BPI Philippines.
Doha Bank's customers will be able to transfer money online from their Doha Bank Account to accounts at any branch of BPI in The Philippines. Customers can remit funds to beneficiaries having accounts with any other bank in the country. BPI has arrangements for door-to-door delivery of remittances. Beneficiaries can also collect cash from any branch of BPI.
Dr. R Seetharaman, Group CEO of Doha Bank said "the partnership with BPI will provide an opportunity to extend our services to the Filipino community in Qatar by meeting their banking and remittance requirements. We are committed to serving our customers in every possible manner and providing them a seamless banking experience. These facilities will be also available from Doha Bank branches in The UAE and Kuwait."
For his part, Mr. Raul D Dimayuga, Senior Vice President of BPI said "this association with Doha Bank is a commitment towards providing cost effective services to Filipino nationals who live in Qatar. The arrangement will enable us to provide our customers convenient and secure services by expanding our remittance network from the GCC countries to The Philippines."
