Business matching successful at BOI Fair 2011

BANGKOK, January 16 (TNA) - A business matching, organised as part of Thailand's BOI Fair 2011 at Muang Thong Thani in the outskirts of Bangkok from January 5-20, has been proclaimed successful, pairing over 1,400 business operators. BOI Secretary-General Atchaka Sriboonruang Brimble reported on Monday that 1,466 pairs of business operators have been announced at the matching event over the past six days, expected to later generate over four billion baht in their business contacts, higher than three billion baht earlier estimated. According to the BOI chief, world leading automobile manufacturers, like Japan-based Toyota and Nissan, have, for instance, matched with local small-scale auto parts firms and foreign machinery manufacturers in the industrial, medical, pharmaceutical and food sectors have paired with their Thai counterparts, including those from China, Japan and Malaysia.
